"Jessee is a wonderful teacher. She is patient, kind, and caring with both her students and horses. She has a great sense of humor and seems to always see the good in every situation. I have known Jessee for 4 years. She has guided me through my Level 1 natural horsemanship certification. We are now working on Level 2! I had a very headstrong Quarter Horse at first, and she was so good at helping me to overcome his strong personality. I now have a young TWH - very sweet, but emotional at times, and she is equally adept at helping me teach him. When Jessee works one-on-one with a horse, she is caring and clear in the cues she gives, but she can be quite firm when need be! As soon as the horse shows her respect again - Jessee quickly switches back into a calm and non-emotional demeanor. Horses soon pick up on her leadership and learn quickly to follow her lead.
Jessee keeps busy with lessons, classes and clinics. One of her most popular clinics is the Trail Riding Clinic - a series of 6 day-long classes in which she takes horses and their riders from the basics of ground safety and control through safety and trail riding etiquette. Horses and riders are never pushed, but guided along as they are comfortable in achieving the goals of each class. A trail ride through her huge pasture precedes the final ride. The clinic culminates with a trail ride at a local park where lessons learned are practiced on the trail. For horsemen who have completed her clinic, Jessee leads trail rides nearly every week in the summer months for all who care to join in! While lessons are practiced on these rides as well, all is not hard work - we have a great time talking, laughing and enjoying the beautiful Colorado scenery.
I would highly recommend Jessee Province to any horseman wanting to improve their horsemanship skills. Creating confident horses and riders - that's what Jessee is all about!" ....Lucinda
"Jessee is well educated in both horse and human behavior. She thoughtfully combines talent and experience into well-organized lesson plans that match both the rider's and horse's pace. She is compassionate and caring, yet firm and fair. Her unique style has aided students in the pursuit of a higher level of horsemanship, and with great success." ....Monika
"Being a "Vintage Cup" senior owner of an energetic Andalusian/Lusitana colt, under two years old, my training challenge would be overwhelming without the help of someone like Jessee.
One of her strongest talents is the ability to adjust her natural horsemanship techniques quickly and appropriately to suit the needs of the individual horse. She also likes to train the owner to be able to work with the horse, so things do not fall apart or regress when the trainer is not present. Her patience and skill as a teacher have been invaluable to me, and my colt is very enthusiastic about our training sessions.
After nearly 30 years of owning and riding various breeds in a variety of disciplines, this could be my last chance to develop my next dressage mount, and I feel Jessee is the right trainer to get me off to a brilliant start in the development of this colt's mental and physical attitude." ....Linda
"We owe a lot of our success to Jessee who has been working with us for the past year. We both wanted to be successful on the trail and that meant getting our horses prepared and our confidence built up. We took the Trail Clinic Series which was just awesome. We would highly recommend Jessee as an instructor. Her natural horsemanship methods and ways of teaching have contributed to our success as we continue on this horse journey." ....Jeff and Cassandra
"Jessee is wonderful with horses and people. Whereas most horsemanship programs come with booklets and DVDs, it still is necessary to have professional help when you're "stuck". Thanks to Jessee, my mare and I have been able to achieve our Level 2 Parelli much faster than we normally would have. My mare was labeled a "problem" horse by even Parelli professionals. We had to put in a lot of extra hours to get her confident and get rid of the head tossing problem. We're now working on our Level 3, and Jessee can help us get there faster. She has studied and mastered the Level 3 tasks herself, so she can help us improve particular tasks. She's a great help for people and horses who are just beginning, but also a huge help for the more advanced who try to solve particular problems. I also love to bring my horse to her place because she has a cool playground set up that challenges your horse's mind. Jessee has studied several different horsemanship methods and is able to use whatever is best according to the situation. Way to go, Jessee!" ....Susanne
